Born in Sarajevo in 1964.
Composes pop and ethnic music, also writing music for the theatre and film.
Led a pop group described as one of the cultural phenomena of the 1980s, Plavi Orkestar (The Blue Orchestra), who were greetedwith teenybopper hysteria.
He has sold a total of four million albums, received numerous awards, and given 1,500 concerts around the world.
